Who are we?
In 1996, Paul and Shelley Stockman's family holiday sparked a passion that has thrived for nearly 30 years. Today, we proudly oversee a flourishing olive grove, previously managed by Rangihoua Olive Oil. Nestled in Woodside Bay's north-facing valley near the Whakanewha National Reserve, our commitment to sustainability shines as we conscientiously nurture our Verdale, Koroneki, and Frantoio olive trees. Each drop of our olive oil reflects our dedication to crafting it sustainably and naturally. The outcome is a delightful, buttery oil with a subtle peppery kick, capturing the essence of Waiheke Island. Waiwaia, the te reo Māori word for beautiful, truly embodies our olive oil's character. Our pursuit of excellence in quality and sustainability has earned us Silver Awards in both 2021 and 2022 at the Olives NZ Awards.
In every drop of Waiwaia Olive Oil, you savor the essence of Waiheke while unlocking the potential health benefits of polyphenols. These natural compounds act as potent antioxidants, combating oxidative stress and reducing the risk of chronic diseases like heart disease and cancer. Polyphenols also possess remarkable anti-inflammatory properties, aiding in conditions such as arthritis and supporting brain health by reducing the risk of neurodegenerative diseases. Additionally, they promote gut health by balancing beneficial gut bacteria and enhancing digestive well-being. Crafted sustainably our olive oil offers not only the island's essence but also a pathway to enhanced health, all within the embrace of Waiheke's environment.
